This is why our newsrooms are built to handle a varied and wide range of different browsers used by our customers and their contacts.

Unsupported browsers can be quite troublesome. When you use an unsupported or older browser to access Prezly, you will see an alert/message notifying you that your browser is outdated and advising an upgrade.


📌 We no longer support the Internet Explorer browser

In 2015 Microsoft released Edge as the browser to supersede Internet Explorer (IE). Since then IE has not received major updates, or added support for many modern web standards. Microsoft recently discouraged the use of Internet Explorer as a default browser, and we've also seen a decrease in Internet Explorer usage among Prezly users.

To allow us to continue taking advantage of modern web standards to deliver improved functionality and the best possible user experience, we decided to end support for Internet Explorer 11.


What does this mean for Internet Explorer users?

Ending support for Internet Explorer means that as of March 1st 2020, we do not fix bugs in the Prezly web application (rock.prezly.com) that are specific to IE, and will begin to introduce features that are not compatible with this browser.

However, visitors who view Prezly-powered newsrooms using the IE browser can still do so without any issues.


Which browser should I switch to?

You can switch to any of the modern browsers available (see the list of supported browsers above). If you don't have such option, please get in touch with Prezly's Support Team.
